The former owner of a New York dairy farm who made a goateee meat recipe has been fired, according to the owner’s attorney.
The lawyer, Mark Kallen, said in a statement Thursday that he filed a lawsuit against the dairy farmer, who has been in legal limbo for nearly two years.
Kallen said in the statement that his client, Eric Eichinger, a retired dairy farmer and longtime resident of New York, had been working with his wife, Jennifer, on the recipes.
The recipes for the goatherd meat, which is known as beyond meat, are among a list of recipes that the New York attorney general’s office has used to sue dairy farmers in recent years.
Dairy farmers and their lawyers have accused the attorney general of pursuing baseless and frivolous litigation, with little to show for it.
