I know what you’re thinking: Why on earth would I want to make a rabbit meat pie?
Well, this recipe for rabbit meat pies from Blue Max Meat is not just a fantastic vegan recipe but also one of my personal favourites.
It’s simple to make and a delicious treat for those who like to indulge on a healthy rabbit.
The rabbit meat is simmered in a red wine sauce, the pork is simmed in a sauce of cream cheese and the rabbit is then wrapped in a thin layer of potato and stuffed with a thick layer of gravy.
The dish is topped with a layer of cheese, a sprinkling of fresh parsley and the last of the potatoes is then smashed with a fork.
The result is a dish that is both hearty and comforting.
The only downside is that it’s not as versatile as a traditional rabbit meat or rabbit pie but if you like to make it at home you’ll find plenty of ways to make this dish for yourself.
